| A Few Bits and Pieces You Should Know Why Toad Hall I?: First, The Atmosphere. Toad Hall I is perfectly positioned in the Texas Hill Country on the South Fork of the Guadalupe River. With beautiful bluffs across the river, rolling hills all around, and quiet neighbors (not visible at all), all you experience is peaceful nature. The South Fork Guadalupe is perfect for swimming, canoing, and fishing. Divided up by a series of small dams, the South Fork is not traversed by noisy tubers or loud groups. Its perfect for sitting back and listening to the peaceful sound of water fall over the dam. You can enjoy a fire under the stars with our riverfront fire pit. Second, The Cottages. Recently remodeled, both Cottages have been designed with the highest standards in mind. Our finishes and decor, such as granite counter tops and fine hardwood furniture just to name a few, will far exceed your expectations, and are not matched by any other lodging in the area. Our goal has been to make Toad Hall I like the vacation home you've always dreamed of. All revenues from Toad Hall I are reinvested back into the property, ensuring that the next stay will be even better. Third, The Small Details Really Matter. From supplying candles and wood, the basket of fresh river towels, L'Occitane bath products, to the outdoor patio heater, just to name a few. The best way we can make sure you have a great stay is to take care of the small details. Fourth, The River Toad Hall I is located right on the river. You never have to cross the road or walk long distances to get to the river; its in our back yard!!! Our river area has a small dam on it, so this means you can enjoy both deep (8 ft) and shallow (2 ft) water (please don't walk on the dam). We also have a canoe for you to use during your stay. |

Before Check-In Location: Toad Hall 1 is located 5.5 miles past Hunt on Hwy 39. We are on the right side of the road... just look for our sign. Our property doesn't Mapquest or Google properly, so be sure and print the map below. Our address is 2736 Hwy 39. Arrival: A couple days before your scheduled arrival, our property manager Cindy will give you a call to coordinate your check-in. Please remember that Check in is not before 4 PM, and Check-out is not after 11 AM. Phones: Cell Service should not be counted on at Toad Hall I, Local and incoming calls are free, but you will need a calling card to make long distance calls. We recommend that you give family or friends the number to your cottage if they need to reach you. If not, a quick 1 mile drive back towards town should give you cell service. Booking Both Cottages: There is a discount, and this ensures that you will have the property completely to yourself. The Small Cottage and Large Cottage are about 20 ft from each other at the closest point, and are connected via a covered pathway. Pet Policy: We understand that pets are a part of the family too, after all we have pets too. At the same time, we have to keep in mind that pets can require extra cleaning. Our policy is to allow pets under 20lb with a $500 refundable pet deposit. This deposit is refunded after our property manager and cleaning staff have determined that damage/soiling did not occur to the property during your stay. |
